Industrial Visit: Cochin Port – BBA & Shipping and Logistics Management Dept.

The Department of Business Administration & Shipping and Logistics Management organized the Industrial Visit to the Cochin Port, Willington Island, Kochi, Kerala from 22.08.2023 to 24.08.2023. Totally fifty students from the second and third years have participated in the three days educational trip. The students were advised and sent off by our Vice Principal Dr.A.Arunachala Rajan on 21.08.2023. The trip started with the visit of Cochin Port and Container Freight Station of Cochin Port Authority, Kerala on 22.08.2023. More experience was gathered by the students especially on export and import, fleet management and customs clearance. The port employees also explained elaborately about port activities and job opportunities amongst shipping industries. Followed that, the students visited the Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kakkinada, and then the motivational session was arranged on the topic of “the way towards Higher Studies” at the Department of Applied Economics. Dr.P.K.Manoj, Head of the Department and Dr.P.Arunachalam, Emeritus Professor, Department of Applied Economics, Cochin University of Science and Technology handled the session and motivated our students towards higher studies. Hopefully this session was very attractive and fruitful to the participated students. The trip has continued with the visit of Vagamon natural location, and it was end on 24.08.2023 at wonderla, Kochi. Dr.R.Karuppasamy, Head of the Department and four faculty members of Business Administration Mr.R.Vivekananthan, Ms.K.Abirami, Mrs.P.Jeyalakshmi and Mrs.D.Vijayalakshmi accompanied and guided the students in the entire journey.
