Industrial Visit – Ayurveda Vaidya Nilayam Company, Madurai

On behalf of our Botany Department we arranged a field visit to AVN (Ayurveda Vaidya Nilayam) company, Madurai on 04.02.2023. In that company students came to know about the collection & storage methods of herbal plants & the processing methods like drying, powdering and also making of kasayam. Other than kasayam they are making aristem (fermented medicine) suranam, oils & tablets from that kasayam.Our students came across the packing & sealing procedures of the above mentioned herbal medicinal products.Besides that our students visited the quality control section and also the research laboratory of the AVN (Ayurveda Vidya Nilayam) company. Research head Dr.Suresh Govindan of AVN clearly demonstrated all the procedures to us.27 students along with 2 staff members from Botany Department took part in this field visit eagerly & got benefited.
