Guest Lecture on Vector Borne and Zoonotic Diseases – Microbiology Dept.

Our Post Graduate and Research Department of Microbiology organized a Guest Lecture on the topic “VECTOR BORNE AND ZOONOTIC DISEASES” on 03.10.2023. P. Udhayakumar, M.Sc., DPHG., Lecturer in Medical Entomology, Department of Community Medicine, Thoothukudi Medical College was the resource person. Our distinguished chief guest detailed on the outbreak, symptoms, prevention and awareness on Dengue fever, also known as breakbone fever. At the end of the guest lecture, our students actively raised queries to the Chief guest. Then our department students spread Dengue awareness inside the campus on eradication of mosquito habitat, avoiding the water stagnation etc. Our college management was the backbone of this guest lecture, which made this event a grade success.
