Guest Lecture on Union Budget 2024-25: Evaluating Funding Allotment for Various Sectors – Dept. of Economics

The Department of Economics(SF), Kamaraj College, Thoothukudi, conducted a one-day Guest Lecture Programme titled “Union Budget 2024-25: Evaluating Funding Allotment for Various Sectors.” On July 30, 2024, this event took place in the Seminar Hall (GJ Block) and was aimed at enhancing the knowledge of B.A. Economics students regarding the fundamentals of the Union Budget. The event was inaugurated by Dr.S.Raman, HOD. Dr.A.Arunachala Rajan , Vice Principal, Kamaraj College, Thoothukudi honored the resource person for the day. The Welcome Address was delivered by E.Vishwa, III B.A. Economics. Dr.M.Chandra, Assistant Professor of Economics, introduced the Resource Person,Dr.A.Asok, Vice-Principal and Head of the Department of Economics,Kamaraj College,Thoothukudi. The resource person provided an in-depth analysis of the Union Budget 2024-25, covering various sectors such as industries, higher education and sustainable development. He offered a comprehensive overview of the budget and discussed the implementation of new development schemes.The session was interactive, with students actively engaging and clearing their doubts. The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by A.Mugesh, III B.A. Economics. The total number of participants for this guest lecture was 71 students.
