Guest Lecture on The Art of Reading – English Dept.

The Department of English conducted a Guest Lecture on “The Art of Reading” on 10.03.2023 at 3.00 pm. The session began with Tamil Thaai Vaazhthu. P. Tamilarasi of II MA English delivered the welcome address. The Resource Person Mr. P. Maruthupandian, the guest speaker was honored by Malik Batcha of II BA English. The Vice Principal, Dr. A. Arunachala Rajan shared his thoughts on reading and he encouraged the students to utilize the session. The Resource Person began the lecture with a discussion on a short story “Paalvannampillai” by Pudhumaipithan. He dealt with the discussion on Essential Reading, Reading for Pleasure and Extensive Reading. He also stressed the Uses of Reading. He suggested authors and books for the students. Students got to know about Reading and got benefited. After delivering his lecture he encouraged students and faculties to clear their doubts and clarified them. M.
