Guest Lecture on Rural Development and Self Employment – Chemistry Dept.

Guest Lecture was conducted by the PG and Research Department of Chemistry on 28.07.2023 from 10 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. on the topic “Rural Development and Self Employment” at Seminar Hall (GJ block), Kamaraj College. The program was started with Tamilthai Vazhthu. Prof. Dr. E. David Benher, Head and Associate Professor of Zoology (Rtd.), VHNSN College, Virudunagar was acted as the Resource person of the program. He spoke in detail about the various types of rural development and their benefits. The session was highly interactive with Dr. E. David Benher engaging with the students by asking questions and clarifying their doubts. The feedback from the students indicates that they found the session beneficial, and our department UG & PG students participated, gaining knowledge about the significance of rural development and Self Employment. The HOD, Dr. N. Chandra Lekha, honoured the resource person with a shawl and momento. The program commenced with a welcome address by Miss. K. Meenakshi of II M.Sc., and the introduction of the resource person was done by M. Antony Rajesh of III B.Sc. The vote of thanks was delivered by S. Radha from III B.Sc., and the entire program was effectively anchored by our department students council members. The National Anthem marked the end of the successful program, leaving the participants with valuable insights into the benefits of Self Employment for future aspects.
