Genomics and Proteomics

PG and the research department of Microbiology (SF) have organized state level hands-on workshop on ‘Genomics and Proteomics’ for two days (Nov 23, 2021). Dr Michael Immanuel Jesse, Assistant professor, St. Joseph’s College, Tiruchirappalli was the resource person for this workshop. He installed a genome sequencing tool on students’ laptops and gave training on how to sequence a DNA from a raw sequence to its protein structure. He also focused on many online tools available free on the internet. Overall 80 students and research scholars participated enthusiastically in this workshop.
