Food and Nutrition Security

On behalf of Kamaraj College, the Department of Botany organized an International webinar entitled ‘ Sustainable agricultural development for Food and Nutrition Security on 8 th December 2021. The webinar was attended by around 150 students. The webinar was convened by Dr. T. Ponrathy, Assistant professor and Head, of the Department of Botany. She also welcomed the gathering. Dr. T. Kumareswari introduced the guest speaker Dr. Lavanya Gunamalai. Dr. G. Lavanya shared her expertise in the field of pre-harvest and post-harvest crops. She presented the challenges with the solutions to develop sustainable agriculture. The guest speaker interacted with the students and clarified their doubts. The webinar concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Dr. M. Muthu Sheeba, Assistant professor, Department of Botany.
