Field Visit: V.O.C Port, Thoothukudi – Dept. of Economics & Public Administration

The Departments of Economics and Public Administration (SF) organized a one-day educational field visit to V.O.C Port, Thoothukudi, on 05.09.2023. A total of 110 students from both departments participated in this visit.The students had the opportunity to explore the port and gain insights into its operations. They observed various activities at the port, including cargo handling, shipping procedures, and the logistics involved in port management. This visit provided them with a practical understanding of the economic and administrative aspects of port operations. This visit enriched the students’ knowledge about the functioning of one of the major ports in India.
