Field Visit: Keeladi Archaeological Museum – Dept. of Economics & Public Administration

The Departments of Economics (SF) and Public Administration at Kamaraj College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi, organized an educational field visit to the Keeladi Archaeological Museum on 18 October 2024. A total of 46 students visited the museum. During the trip, the students explored the museum and learned about the rich history of Tamil Nadu, the heritage of the Tamil people, and the significance of the Vaigai civilization. The visit provided valuable insights into the archaeological findings at Keeladi, which have revealed details about the advanced urban civilization that flourished along the banks of the Vaigai River. The students gained a deeper understanding of their cultural roots and the contributions of ancient Tamil societies to various fields such as architecture, trade, and social organization.
