Field Visit: Fujifilm & Maruthi Photo Store, Thoothukudi – Visual Communication Dept.

A workshop titled “The Art of Wedding Photography” was organized by Fujifilm and Maruthi Photo Store on 21st March 2025 at Solai Mini Mahal, Thoothukudi. Our 1st-year Visual Communication students, accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. M.Suresh, participated in this session to enhance their practical knowledge of photography.
During the workshop, students were introduced to the basic techniques of photography, including composition, lighting, and camera settings. They also had hands-on training with high-end Fujifilm cameras and lenses, practicing portrait and wedding photography with live models. The interactive session provided valuable industry insights and real-time shooting experience, helping students understand the professional workflow of wedding photography.
The workshop was highly beneficial for students, offering them practical exposure to professional equipment and photography techniques. Such industry-oriented training sessions contribute significantly to their academic and professional growth.
