Field Trip: Dinamalar Printing Press Tirunelveli – English Dept.

Fifteen students from II M.A. English and III B.A. English of the PG & Research Department of English (SF) went on a field trip to Dinamalar Printing Press, Tirunelveli on 30.04.2024. Mr. Shanmuga Velayutham, the Sub-editor of the Tirunelveli branch elaborated on how to write a report over a news event and also explained in detail about the drafting and editing the news report. His motivational speech stimulated the students, and aspired them to become a reporter and editor in newspapers and agencies. He also encouraged our students to send articles to their publication desk. Our students gained the first hand experience of CTP – Computer to Plate and Newspaper printing in the press. The overall outcome of the visit was fruitful to the outgoing students.
