Faculty Development Programme – IQAC

The programme was formally inaugurated by Dr. X. Helan Flora, Controller of Examinations, and Dr. M. Gethsiyal Augasta, IQAC Coordinator, with the support of Assistant IQAC Coordinator Mrs. S. Jindhuja. Dr. P. Sivagami, Dean of Science, honored the resource person with a shawl.

The session began with a warm welcome address by Deputy Controller Dr. N. Chandra Lekha. Over 40 faculty members, including Deans, Heads of Departments, and senior professors, actively participated in the programme.

The resource person, Dr. A. Muthuraman, Assistant Professor of Zoology, Sadakathullah Appa College, Tirunelveli, delivered an insightful presentation on the attainment of Outcome-Based Education (OBE). His lecture focused on effective implementation and assessment strategies, providing participants with a clear understanding of Bloom’s Taxonomy, Course Outcomes (COs), and CO-PO attainment calculations.

The session also addressed methods for measuring student attainment and the challenges encountered in OBE implementation. Participants left the workshop with enhanced knowledge and practical tools to incorporate OBE effectively into their teaching practices, thereby enriching the teaching and learning experience.

The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. X. Helan Flora.
