The PG and Research Department of Chemistry, Kamaraj College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi, organized an impactful Guest Lecture on Entrepreneurial Leadership on 22 January 2026, from 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. at the Seminar Hall, Golden Jubilee Block. The programme aimed to instill entrepreneurial thinking, leadership qualities, and innovation-driven mindsets among postgraduate students from various disciplines.

This Entrepreneurial Leadership session was designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world business challenges, helping students visualize themselves as future entrepreneurs and employment generators.

Inaugural Session and Welcome Address

The programme began with the invocation of Tamilthai Vazhthu, setting a respectful and inspiring tone. The welcome address was delivered by Miss. Shunmuga Priya of II M.Sc., who warmly greeted the dignitaries, faculty members, and students. She highlighted the relevance of entrepreneurial education in today’s rapidly evolving economic environment and emphasized how leadership skills are essential for both professional and personal growth.

The resource person was formally introduced by Miss. Sowmiya Lincy of II M.Sc., who outlined the speaker’s achievements and entrepreneurial journey.

Honouring the Resource Person

Dr. N. Chandra Lekha, Head of the Department of Chemistry, honoured the resource person, Mr. Nila Arumugam, CEO of Nila Soap Group of Companies, Sivakasi and Coimbatore, by presenting a memento. The gesture reflected the institution’s respect for industry leaders who contribute meaningfully to academic enrichment.
