Elocution Competition – English Dept.

The PG and Research Department of English (SF), under the esteemed Phoenix Literary Association, successfully organized an Elocution Competition on 7th February 2025. The competition was titled “The Book That Impressed Me” and focused on books related to literature that have made a profound impact on readers. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various levels. Each contestant eloquently presented their thoughts on a book that had deeply influenced them. The participants were judged based on content, clarity, confidence, articulation, and overall impact. Among the 9 competitors, the following students secured the first three places as below:
Ist – P.Antony Sanjay (II MA English), 2nd -I. Pradeepa Rajanauis (II MA English), 3rd – V. Swetha (II MA English) and M.Muthuramalakshmi from (I MA English). The Elocution Competition was an enriching experience, providing students a platform to express their literary insights and enhance their public speaking skills. The event successfully reinforced the power of books in shaping minds and inspiring changes.
