Domain Club Programme: 10 Inspiring Lessons from Geometry
Introduction
The Domain Club Programme was successfully organized by the PG and Research Department of Mathematics of Kamaraj College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi on 13 July 2026 at Hall No. 35, Swami Vivekananda Block. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. P. Sivagami, Head of the Department, and coordinated by Dr. G. Hari Siva Annam, Assistant Professor.
The programme aimed to enhance mathematical knowledge, develop interest in geometry and encourage students to understand the beauty and practical importance of mathematics. The session created a meaningful academic platform for students to learn from experts, interact with faculty members and gain motivation for academic and personal growth.
Objectives of the Programme
The Domain Club Programme was organized to promote mathematical learning, analytical thinking and student participation in academic activities.
The major objectives of the programme were:

Guidance and Coordination
The programme was conducted under the valuable guidance of Dr. P. Sivagami, Head, PG and Research Department of Mathematics. Her guidance ensured the effective planning and successful conduct of the event.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. G. Hari Siva Annam, Assistant Professor, PG and Research Department of Mathematics. His coordination helped in organizing the event in a smooth and meaningful manner.
The support of the Head of the Department, faculty members and student organizers contributed greatly to the success of the Domain Club Programme.
Commencement of the Programme
The programme commenced with a Prayer Song rendered melodiously by M. Priya Ranjani, G. Mari Selvi, G. Arunamathi and T. Sivaparvathi of I B.Sc Mathematics.
The prayer song created a peaceful and positive beginning to the event. It also reflected the discipline, devotion and cultural values of the institution. The formal beginning set the right tone for an academic and inspiring programme.
Welcome Address
The gathering was warmly welcomed by Ms. P. Anubharathi of II M.Sc Mathematics. She greeted the Chief Guest, distinguished alumnus, Head of the Department, faculty members and student participants.
In her welcome address, she emphasized the importance of the Domain Club Programme in enhancing mathematical knowledge among students. She also highlighted the role of such academic platforms in encouraging students to explore mathematical concepts beyond classroom learning.
The welcome address created a warm and respectful atmosphere for the programme.
Participation of Students and Faculty Members
A total of 49 students participated enthusiastically in the programme. Their active involvement reflected their interest in learning Mathematics, especially geometry and mathematical theorems.
All the faculty members of the PG and Research Department of Mathematics were present and extended their wholehearted support to make the event a grand success. Their presence encouraged the students and strengthened the academic value of the programme.

Honouring of the Chief Guest
The Chief Guest of the programme was Dr. M. Raja Climax, Founder Chairman of the CEOA Group of Educational Institutions. He was warmly received and honoured with a shawl by Dr. A. Kalaiyarasi, Assistant Professor, PG and Research Department of Mathematics.
The honouring of the Chief Guest reflected the department’s respect and appreciation for his valuable presence and contribution to the academic enrichment of the students.
His participation added great significance to the Domain Club Programme.
Keynote Address on Geometry
Dr. M. Raja Climax delivered an enlightening keynote address on Geometry. His lecture helped students understand the depth, beauty and importance of mathematical thinking.
He explained the significance of classical mathematical theorems, including Euclid’s Theorem, Pythagoras’ Theorem and Euler’s Formula for Polyhedra. He highlighted how these concepts continue to influence modern mathematics and various fields of application.
