The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit No. 218 & 56 organised the District Level Youth Festival Competitions for NSS Volunteers of colleges in the Thoothukudi District with the support of National Service Scheme, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli held on 15.11.2023 at Kamarajar Kalvi Arangam, Kamaraj College, Thoothukudi. Mr.P.S.P.K.J.Somu, Secretary, Kamaraj College has lit the lamp and inuagurated the function. Followed by, Presidential address was given by Dr.J.Poongodi, Principal. Dr.A.Asok and Dr.A.Arunachala Rajan, Vice Principal delivered the felicitation address. The competitions such as Folk Group and Solo Dance, Folk Group and Solo Song, Story writing, Poster Making, Declamation, Photography and Just a Minute were conducted under the supervision of Dr.A.Veliappan, NSS Coordinator, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli. Many NSS Volunteers of Colleges in the Thoothukudi District have participated actively. The winners of the competitions will participate in the state level competitions of Tamilnadu. And the state level winners can participate in the national youth festival competitions. The entire work successfully coordinated by Nodal Officer Dr.R.Karuppasamy, Program Officer, NSS Unit No 218 and Mr.M.Ayyanuraj, Program Officer, NSS Unit No 56, and NSS Volunteers of Unit No. 218 & 56.
