The District Level Masters Athletics Meet 2025 was successfully conducted on 29 November 2025 at the campus of Kamaraj College Autonomous Thoothukudi. The event proudly welcomed enthusiastic senior athletes from across the district to celebrate fitness discipline sportsmanship and healthy living. The program took place from 08.30 am to 05.00 pm and showcased great energy commitment and passion for sports from all participants.

The event was honored by the presence of important dignitaries who added grace to the celebration of athletics. The Chief Guest for the program was Mr. Krishnasamy Vandiayar President of the Tamil Nadu Masters Athletics Association. His support and contribution to developing athletics among senior citizens were greatly appreciated by everyone.
He was accompanied by Ms. Pooja Rajan and Mr. Ashokan BJP District Officer who also shared their encouragement for sports development in Thoothukudi District.
The meet began with a 5 kilometer race walking event which set an energetic tone for the entire day. The official inauguration of this exciting competition was done by the esteemed Secretary of Kamaraj College Mr. P. S. P. K. J. வணக்கம் தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்ட அளவிலான மூத்தோர் தடகள போட்டி 29/11/25 சனிக்கிழமை அன்று நமது காமராஜ் கல்லூரி வளாகத்தில் சிறந்த முறையில் நடைபெற்றது… இதற்கு சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக தமிழ்நாடு மூத்தோர் தடகள சங்கத்தின் தலைவர் மரியாதைக்குரிய கிருஷ்ணசாமி வாண்டையார் வருகை தந்தார். அவருடன் திரு பூஜா ராஜன், பாரதிய ஜனதா கட்சியின் பொறுப்பாளர் திரு.அசோகன் அவர்களும் வருகை தந்தனர்… காலை 8 மணி அளவில் 5 கிலோமீட்டர் நடை பயணம் போட்டி நடைபெற்றது இந்த போட்டியை துவங்கி வைக்க நமது கல்லூரியின் செயலாளர் மதிப்பிற்குரிய அண்ணாச்சி சோமு அவர்கள் வருகை தந்தனர்… விளையாட்டு போட்டியில் வெற்றி பெற்றவர்களுக்கு நமது கல்லூரியின் துணை முதல்வர் அருணாச்சல ராஜன் அவர்கள் பரிசுகள் வழங்கினார்… இந்த போட்டியில் மொத்தமாக 120 விளையாட்டு வீரர்கள் வீராங்கனைகள் (30 வயதிற்கு மேல் 95 வயதிற்கு கீழ்) கலந்து கொண்டனர். இந்த விளையாட்டு போட்டிகள் அனைத்தையும் நமது காமராஜ் கல்லூரியின் விளையாட்டுத்துறை சேர்ந்த ஆசிரியர்கள் மற்றும் மாணவ மாணவிகள் ஒருங்கிணைந்து நடத்திக் கொடுத்தனர்…
