Post Graduate and Research Department of Microbiology associated with Youth Red Cross (YRC) organized “DENTAL CHECK – UP CAMP” on 30th March 2023. Dr.S.Velraj, BDS, PGDIP(HM), FDS (ENDO), Dental Surgeon & Root Canal Specialist, Raj Dental Clinic, Thoothukudi, Dr.M.Vaishali BDS, FICOI (USA), MS (Implantology), Dental Surgeon & Implant Specialist, Raj Dental Clinic, Thoothukudi & Dr.S.Ishanth BDS., Raj Dental Clinic, Thoothukudi were serves as medical consultants. Dr.V.Gopalakrishnan, SF courses i/c gave the keynote address about this camp and honour the doctors with shield. Dr.S.Velraj delivered the brief introduction about oral hygiene and health after that the camp was started. Totally 210 students from various departments, many teaching staffs from various departments and non-teaching staffs were benefited. The “POSTER COMPETITION” regarding oral health was held at the same time to YRC students. Totally 20 students were actively participated. The posters were judged by Dr.R.Anilkumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Criminology & Forensic Science and Dr. B.Sakthivel, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry(SF). The based on the presentation and performance the first three places were selected. The students and staffs were giving the valuable feedback about this camp. Our college management provided all the necessary facilities to conduct this camp successfully.
