Day 5: Deeksharambh – Students Induction Programme – First Year Aided Students
The fifth day of the Students Induction Programme (25/06/2025) featured a diverse range of sessions. Mr. Karunya Prabhu and Mr. Purushottama Parthasarathi Prabhu from ISKCON Thoothukudi led a session on “Moral Values, Meditation and Yoga for Students,” offering insights on moral values, mind control, and mental development. Dr. M. Murali, Associate Professor of Tamil, was engaging the second session on Tamil literature who encouraged students to explore reading, writing, and acting in Tamil. The National Service Scheme (NSS) was introduced by Dr. M. Ayyanu Raj and Mr. P. Anand, NSS, Program Officers Unit No. 56 & 54 by giving an inspiring session and motivated the students to join and develop a service-oriented mindset. The final session, led by Dr. N. Boobalan, Officer of NCC Naval, highlighted the benefits of the National Cadet Corps, including opportunities for government jobs. These sessions broadened students’ awareness of moral values, cultural enrichment, and benefits of extracurricular activities through NSS and NCC. At the end of the session, willing students enrolled their names in NCC Navy and Army.
