Day2: Fruits and Vegetables Carving – Intercollegiate Competition – Pongaloviyam 2023

The Kamaraj College, Thoothukudi organizes three days Cultural cum Sports intercollegiate competition from 23.01.2023. On the second day 24.01.2023, The Fruit and Vegetables Carving competition was conducted at 11:00 am in the Ganesan Nadar Block. A total of thirteen participants participated in the competition from various colleges like Adithanar College of Arts and Science, Thiruchendur; St. John’s college, Palayamkottai; Rajalakshmi arts & science college, Thoothukudi; APA College, Nanguneri; St. Mary’s college, Thoothukudi; Sarah Tucker college, Tirunelveli; M.D.T Hindu college, Tirunelveli; Kamaraj Women’s college, Thoothukudi; V.O.C College, Thoothukudi; Francis Xavier engineering college, Tirunelveli; Bishop Caldwell college, Thoothukudi; St. Mother’s Theresa Engineering college, Thoothukudi; and Rani Anna Government college, Tirunelveli. They were given one hour time duration to exhibit their carving skills. The participants have carved and created many innovative models. From thirteen participants, W. Starly Joyce of V.O.C. College secured first prize; S. Yazhini of Sarah Tucker College secured second prize; and H. Jesu Swetha of St. Mary’s College secured third prize.
