Day1: Rangoli – Intercollegiate Competition – Pongaloviyam 2023

The Kamaraj College, Thoothukudi organizes three days Cultural cum Sports intercollegiate competition from 23.01.2023. The first cultural competition on 23.01.2023, Rangoli started at 10:30 am at Kamarajar Kalvi Arangam. The theme for rangoli was “Indian Cultural Cultivation”. Around sixteen college in and around Thoothukudi participated in the competitions namely, St. Mary’s college, Thoothukudi; T.M.M. College, Kulathur; St. Mother’s Theresa Engineering college, Thoothukudi; APA College, Nanguneri; St. Xavier’s College, Tirunelveli; Bishop Caldwell college, Thoothukudi; Rani Anna Government college, Tirunelveli; Rajalakshmi arts & science college, Thoothukudi; Arulmigu Subramaniya Swamy Arts and Science College, Vagaikulam; Kamaraj Women’s college, Thoothukudi; Sarah Tucker college, Tirunelveli; Sri Sangara Bhagavathi Arts and Science College, Konnadikottai; Adithanar College of Arts and Science, Thiruchendur; St. John’s college, Palayamkottai; M.D.T Hindu college, Tirunelveli;and V.O.C College, Thoothukudi.All the rangolis were fairly judged and evaluated by the judges. Out of sixteen teams and thirty-two participants, M. Marichitra and P. Selva Harini of V.O.C. College, Thoothukudi secured first prize; R. Lalitha and V. Vanitha of St. Mary’s College, Thoothukudi secured second prize; and M. Soniya and P. Petchiammal Priya of MDT Hindu College, Tirunelveli secured third prize.
