Crime Awareness Elocution Contest on “Crime and Its Impact on Society”

Introduction to Crime Awareness Elocution Contest

The Department of Criminology at Kamaraj College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi, actively encourages students to grow both academically and personally. As part of its ongoing club initiatives, Crime Awareness Elocution Contest was conducted on 30th June 2025 from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM at Bharathiyar Block. This engaging Crime Awareness Elocution Contest was held under the club activity series aimed at improving communication, building confidence, and creating awareness on critical social topics.

Theme of Crime Awareness Elocution Contest

The theme for Crime Awareness Elocution Contest was “Crime and Its Impact on Society.” Students explored different dimensions of crime, its root causes, and its wide-ranging effects on individuals and communities. The theme sparked insightful interpretations and original perspectives from each speaker.

Vibrant Participation from Students

Students from both Criminology and Police Administration (CPA) and Criminology and Forensic Science (CFS) courses enthusiastically participated in this event. Participants from all academic years took part, making the contest more vibrant and competitive. This platform helped students express their views, apply their knowledge in real-world contexts, and enhance their public speaking skills.

Excellence in Presentation

Each participant was evaluated on the basis of their content quality, clarity, voice modulation, posture, and stage presence. Students impressed the panel of judges with their thought-provoking ideas and confident delivery. The content reflected sound research and a deep understanding of the social, psychological, and legal implications of crime.

Winners and Recognition of Crime Awareness Elocution Contest

After a close competition, the winners were announced and awarded with appreciation for their effort and performance:
