21st Commerce Assembly Conducted Successfully

The Commerce Assembly of the Department of Commerce was conducted successfully on 03 July 2026 at the Golden Jubilee Block of Kamaraj College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi. The monthly assembly was organized to bring together the students and faculty members of the department and to share important updates, achievements, reports and instructions.

The 21st Commerce Assembly provided a meaningful platform for students to develop confidence, communication skills, discipline and a sense of responsibility. The assembly also helped students understand the importance of regular participation in departmental activities and academic discipline.

Objectives of the Assembly

Commencement of the Assembly

The Commerce Assembly commenced with Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by Kalluri Vazhthu Paadal. The assembly began with due respect and discipline, creating a formal and positive atmosphere for the gathering.

The traditional beginning reflected the values of the institution and reminded students about respect, culture and unity. It also helped the participants begin the day with focus and responsibility.

Master of Ceremony

The Master of Ceremony was performed by Ms. Maria Snowline of III B.Com Batch II. She conducted the proceedings of the assembly in an orderly and confident manner.

Her role as Master of Ceremony provided a good opportunity for student leadership and public speaking. It also reflected the department’s effort to encourage students to take active roles in organizing and conducting academic programmes.

Post-Event Report Presentation

The post-event report was delivered by Ms. Gopika of II B.Com Batch II. She presented the report clearly and shared details of the recent departmental activities.

The report presentation helped students understand the importance of documenting and reviewing events. It also encouraged students to actively observe, record and communicate the outcomes of academic and co-curricular programmes.
