Business Insights Session: 10 Powerful Lessons on Export
Introduction
The Business Insights Session was successfully organized by the Department of Computer Science (Self-Financing) of Kamaraj College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi on 23 July 2026 at the Seminar Hall, C V Raman Computer Science Block.
The programme was conducted as an Alumni Interactive Session on the topic “Business Insights”. It aimed to create awareness among students about the export industry, entrepreneurship and career opportunities available in the business sector.
Objectives of the Programme
The Business Insights Session was organized to motivate students through alumni interaction and entrepreneurial guidance.
The major objectives of the programme were:

Welcome Address
The programme commenced with the Welcome Address delivered by Shakthishruthi Anand of III BCA.
She warmly welcomed the resource person, Head of the Department, faculty members and students. Her welcome address created a positive beginning to the Business Insights Session and encouraged the students to actively participate in the interaction.
Resource Person of the Programme
The resource person for the session was Mr. R. Vishva, Proprietor of SKR Traders. He is a proud alumnus of the Department of Computer Science, Kamaraj College, from the 2017 to 2020 batch.
He was invited to share his entrepreneurial journey and provide valuable insights into the export business and its growing scope. His presence added great value to the programme, as students received practical guidance from a successful alumnus.
Felicitation and Honouring
Dr. G. Sophana, Head and Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science (SF), felicitated the gathering and honoured the resource person.
The honouring of Mr. R. Vishva reflected the department’s respect and appreciation for its alumnus. It also strengthened the bond between the department and its alumni network.
