Blood Donation Camp 2026: Inspiring Service with 7 Units Donated


Blood Donation Camp was organised by the Youth Red Cross (YRC) and Health Club of Kamaraj College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi, in collaboration with Jolly Recreation Club, Thoothukudi, on 19 September 2026. The programme promoted awareness about voluntary blood donation and encouraged students to contribute towards an important humanitarian cause.

More than seven students, along with the Health Club Coordinator, participated in the programme, and a total of 7 units of blood were donated. A team of doctors and medical staff supervised the donation process and ensured appropriate safety and hygiene throughout the camp.

Blood Donation Camp at Kamaraj College

The programme was organised as a service-oriented initiative to encourage students to understand the importance of voluntary blood donation.

Blood donation plays an important role in supporting healthcare services and patients who require blood for medical treatment. The programme therefore sought to create awareness among young people and encourage a spirit of voluntary service.

7 Units of Blood Donated

A total of 7 units of blood were donated during the programme.
