Awareness Program on Poshan Abhiyan

The Department of Commerce organized a Guest lecture titled Awareness on Poshan Abhiyan. The session was backed by the intellect of Mrs.E. Saraswati, Project Officer – Integrated Child Development Services, Department of Social Welfare, Govt of Tamil Nadu. The awareness program was dated 06th October 2022.
The program started with Thamizh Thaai Vazhthu followed by a Gratification Address by Mr. M. Thanga Jesu Sathish, Assistant Professor of the department of commerce. Dr. A. Arunachala Rajan, Vice Principal, felicitated the gathering with his warm words followed by the chief guest welcoming and felicitation was delivered by Dr. V. Gopalakrishnan, Head of the department and the chief guest was honored with a token of appreciation.
The session was then carried by the Resource Person Mrs.E. Saraswati, Project Officer, Integrated Child Development Services, Department of Social Welfare, Govt of Tamil Nadu who elaborated on various schemes of child care, nutrition, and growth She also encouraged the students to spread awareness on various schemes available for pregnant women, weaning mothers, newborn babies, infants and adolescence for nutritional improvements and health care Mr.Jero Samson of II B.Com Corporate Secretaryship proposed the Vote of Thanks. The Session came to an end with National Anthem. More than 160 participated with interest and benefited. The beneficiaries were UG final and PG final-year students.
