Accolade Programme – TQI – English Dept.
The Department of English organized an Accolade Programme – TQI on 27.03.2023 from 3.00 P.M to 5.00 PM. The Programme started off with Tamil Thai Vazhthu. Shibani of II B.A English, has delivered the welcome address. R. Jothika of II M.A English made the felicitation. Ms. S. Seyed Ali Fathima, Academic Specialist- Byjus, TQI Zonal Head – South 1, Mr. Prakash, (Alumni of the Department of English (SF) – 2019 to 2021 Batch, TQI Volunteer, PG Teacher, Kamalavathi School (CBSE), Thiruchendur, and Mr. S. Yusuf, Volunteer TQI, II M. A English Literature, V.O. Chidambaram College, Thoothukudi were the guests of honour. Ms. S. Seyed Ali Fathima motivated and initiated the students to volunteer in TQI. She has made the students understand what TQI is about, which is sharing of knowledge socially, its a holistic approach via skill oriented classes. Mr. Prakash, our proud Alumni was the first spark of Kamaraj College to initiate to volunteer in TQI and hailed the badge of the first Best Team. To continue the legacy, last year volunteers of TQI from the Department of English, Kamaraj College, again achieved in receiving the Best Team Award in Ullas Confluense 2023 out of 23 districts. Mr. Prakash shared his experiences of how everything is being started from scratch and still continuing with the same pace. He ignited the minds of the students to make use of the opportunities and prompted them as its purely volunteers interest. Mr. Yusuf, to add spice to the session, he mentions that being a volunteer one will get the peace of mind and satisfaction, he wants everyone to explore and to fix the dreams for oneself. Kulathoor and Tharvaikulam volunteers of our Department shared their individual experiences. Rohith, Athilakshmi, Suba Nithin of II B. A English, Karpaga Meena, and Shanmuga Priya of II M.A English, volunteers TQI have made a divulge of how the students from both the schools have actively listened to their sessions. They collected feedback from them. It not only drive the students to gain knowledge but also triggered the volunteers for the thurst of knowledge. Many games and activities were conducted to trigger memory which gave lot of exposure to them. It is the volunteers patience, conviction, session planning, timely report, account maintenance and their fantabulous presentation have made them to achieve laurels. Mr. Vijaya Ragavan, Assistant Professor of English honoured the volunteers of TQI with certificates and Ms. S. Seyed Ali Fathima gave the award to them. Vote of Thanks was given by Vasanth of I M.A English. The session came to an end with National Anthem.
