44th Alumni Day Celebration – Dept. of Economics

On October 2, 2024, at 11:30A.M Economics Department Alumni Day was celebrated. The function began with a prayer song by II M.A Economics students, Gowri and Annalakshmi. Next Tamil Thai Valzthu by II M.A Economics students Gowri and Annalakshmi Welcome Address gathered by Vice Principal and Head of Economics Department, Dr. (Lt.Cdr).A.Asok, Dr.(Lt.Cdr).A.Asok Vice Principal and Head of Economics Department, honoured by Economics Department Alumni Mr. Jayapandi with a shawl. Next, Mr.Muthu Manickam and Mr.Santhanaraj were also honoured with shawls. Economics Department Retired Professors Dr.C.Thangaraj and Dr.C.Mathanakamaraj were honoured with shawls. The retired professors shared memories of their college days with the Alumni. Competitions were held for the Alumni, and prizes were distributed. Prizes were awarded to the students who secured the first and second positions in the Economics Department for the academic year 2023-2024. UG students Mari keerthika received the first prize and Deepika received the second prize. PG Students Muthu Salini received the first prize and Nishi received the second prize. The Alumni shared their college days memories with each other. Dr.T.Jackuline Brindha delivered the vote of thanks. Finally the Alumni Meet concluded with the national anthem.
