44th Alumni Day Celebration – Dept. of Economics

On October 2, 2024, the Department of Economics (SF) at Kamaraj College, Thoothukudi, celebrated Alumni Day at 11:30 A.M. The event was graced by the presence of nineteen alumni, who had gathered to reconnect and reminisce about their college days.The event began with a warm welcome address by Dr. S. Raman, Head of the Department of Economics (SF), who delivered an inspiring speech, acknowledging the contributions of the alumni to the department. Competitions were organized exclusively for the alumni, and prizes were distributed to the winners, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere. During the General Body meeting, special recognition was given to the top-performing students of the Economics Department. Prizes were awarded to those who secured the first and second positions in the department for the academic year 2023-2024, further highlighting the achievements of the current students. The event concluded with the alumni sharing cherished memories of their college days, fostering a sense of nostalgia and camaraderie. Overall, the celebration was a joyful reunion that strengthened the bond between the alumni and the department.
