The Department of Economics organized a TWO DAYS WORKSHOP CUM TRAINING PROGRAMME
on “BLOCK CHAIN TECHNOLOGY AND FOREX MARKET” on 16th & 17-03-2023 at 10 am. The session started with Tamil Thai Vazhlthu. Dr S Raman, Head, Department of Economics, welcomed the gathering. Theme of the workshop was delivered by Dr. (Lt.Cdr)A. ASOK Associate Professor and Research Coordinator (Arts), Dept. of Economics Kamaraj College. Presidential address was given by The Principal Dr. J. POONGODI Kamaraj College. Inaugural address was delivered by Dr.R.PRABHAVATHY Associate professor & Head Department of Economics Kamaraj College and also by Dr. V. GOPALA KRISHNAN (Head of the Department) Department of Commerce (SF) Kamaraj College. Finally Vote of thanks was given by Dr. C. MATHIMITHA Assistant Professor Department of Economics (SF) Kamaraj College. Then the first day technical session was carried over by the resource person Dr.P.MUTHUKUMAR.MA. M.Phil.,Ph.D Director of Annamamass Academy Chennai, who gave a informative speech on “Block chain technology and Cryptocurrency”. He explained about what Block chain technology means and how it works and he also gave detailed information about the pros and cons of Crypto Currency. The session 2 was continued by Mr. J. MANOKAR. MBM. M.Phil. International Forex Trainer Thoothukudi. He gave a lecture on “How to Become a Successful Forex Trader”. Thus the first day was successfully completed. The second was started with a welcome address by Dr. A.ANITHA Assistant Professor, Department of Economics (SF). The second day’s guest speaker was Dr. (Lt.Cdr) A. ASOK. MA. M.B.A., M.Phil. Ph.D. Associate professor & Research Co-ordinator (Arts) Department of Economics, Kamaraj College. He gave speech on “The Impact of Block chain in Marketing”. Students from various departments of Kamaraj College have actively participated and interact with the resource persons. Finally the session came to an end with the vote of thanks delivered by Dr. M Chandra, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics. Our students of II B.A. Economics S.Pradavus and III year S.Seetha Lakshmi did the master of ceremony, II day session M.Durairaja of III BA Economics welcomed the gathering, and K.Madhu Balamurugan of II BA Economics felicitated the guest speaker.Totally 146 students from various departments students participated and benefited through this two days workshop and training program.
