One Day District Level Orientation Programme for NSS POs of Colleges in the Thoothukudi District – NSS Unit: 218

The School Education Department of Tamil Nadu Government initiated the Career Guidance Cell under the Nan Mudhalvan Scheme for increasing the Gross enrollment ratio of government school students in the higher education. As a part of that, they created Career Guidance Cell in all districts of Tamilnadu with the help of NSS Units and School Education Department. For this work, the NSS State Cell of Tamilnadu has selected Dr.R.Karuppasamy, Programme Officer, NSS Unit 218, Kamaraj College Thoothukudi as one of the District Nodal Programme Officer for coordinating Career Guidance Cell. Followed by, One Day District Level Orientation Programme for NSS POs of Colleges in the Thoothukudi District organised by the NSS Unit 218 of Kamaraj College join with Department of School Education, Tamilnadu on 16.02.2024 at GJ Block, Kamaraj College Thoothukudi. Totally 32 Programme Officers from 14 Colleges in the Thoothukudi District and 12 BRTE teachers of School Education Department were trained in this workshop. Mrs.L.Rejini, CEO of Thoothukudi District has given presidential address. Dr.J.Poongodi Principal, Kamaraj College was chief guest and inuagurated the orientation programme. Followed by the event felicitated by our Vice Principal Dr.A.Arunachala Rajan. Dr.D.Magesh, District Nodal Programme Officer, Government Arts and Science College, Nagalapuram and Mr.P.Sudalai Mani, District Coordinator, Department of School Education, CEO Office Thoothukudi have given the lecture about Career Guidance Activities. Dr.R.Karuppasamy, Programme Officer, NSS Unit 218 coordinated the entire event and given the technical presentation about nss volunteers registeration. The NSS Volunteers Mr.Prabakar – II BBA and Mr. Kaliraj – II BA Tamil were the student coordinators and done beautiful arrangements with other NSS volunteers.
