Department of Zoology

PREAMBLE

The Department of Zoology was established in the year 1973. The Department offers B.Sc. Zoology in the aided stream. M.Sc. Zoology in the self-financing stream was started in the year 1992. The Department was elevated to a full-fledged research department in the year 2003 with part time and full time scholars. Since its inception, the department has produced many M.Phil. and Ph.D. scholars. The department has 7 faculty members out of which 4 faculty members are in the aided stream and remaining faculty members are in the self-supporting stream.
