Introduction

A Pledge Against Drug Abuse programme was conducted on 24 June 2026 at Kamaraj College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi. The programme was organized in view of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, which is observed every year on 26 June to create awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of building a drug-free society.

The event was jointly organized by the Anti-Drug Club, Anti-Ragging Committee, and National Service Scheme Units 54 and 56 of Kamaraj College. The programme aimed to sensitize students about the dangers of substance abuse and encourage them to lead a healthy, disciplined, and responsible life.

The initiative reflected the institution’s commitment to protecting students from harmful practices and guiding them towards positive habits, social responsibility, and personal well-being.
