INDUCTION PROGRAM
The Student Induction Program is a structured three-week orientation course designed for all newly admitted First Year students. It is conducted before the commencement of regular academic classes and serves as an essential bridge to help students transition smoothly into college life. The program introduces them to the institution’s culture, values, academic environment, and support systems, while also fostering a sense of belonging and community among peers.
The Induction Program is primarily designed to achieve the following:
- Provide an Insight into the Institution, Its Values, and Ethics:
Introduce students to the institution’s history, vision, and mission, while familiarizing them with its core values, ethical standards, and code of conduct. This helps students align themselves with the ethos of the college and develop a sense of identity and pride in being part of the academic community. - Brush Up Students’ English Language Skills (LSRW):
Reinforce and enhance students’ foundational skills in Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing (LSRW) in English through interactive activities and focused sessions. This component aims to build confidence in communication, which is essential for both academic and professional success. - Provide an Introduction to Core Papers in the First Semester:
Offer students an overview of the key subjects they will study in their first semester, giving them clarity on the academic structure, expectations, and relevance of each course. This early exposure helps reduce anxiety and equips them to begin their formal classes with greater confidence and preparedness.
