World Hepatitis Day 2026: 10 Powerful Insights on Liver Health

Introduction

The World Hepatitis Day 2026 Awareness Programme cum Guest Lecture was successfully organized by the PG and Research Department of Microbiology of Kamaraj College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi on 20 July 2026 at the Seminar Hall, Golden Jubilee Block.

The programme was conducted to create awareness among students about hepatitis prevention, liver health, vaccination, healthy lifestyle practices and overall wellness. The event also introduced students to the basic principles of acupuncture and its role in promoting holistic health and well-being.

The Welcome Address was delivered by Ms. M. Sneha of II M.Sc Microbiology. She warmly welcomed the dignitaries, faculty members, students and the resource person.

Convenor of the Programme

The programme was convened by Dr. S. Abirami, Head, PG and Research Department of Microbiology. She felicitated the Chief Guest and introduced him to the gathering.

Resource Person of the Programme

The resource person for the programme was Acuhealer Mr. Sadiq Manzoor, Center Head, The Cumbam Academy of Acupuncture, Tirunelveli Center.

He delivered an enlightening guest lecture on the theme “Unblocking Wellness: The Acupuncture Approach to Disease and Cure.” His session introduced students to the basic principles of acupuncture and explained its connection with holistic health and wellness.
