Seminar on the topic Panchayat Raj

The P.G & Research Department of History, Kamaraj College, Thoothukudi conducted a one-day State Level seminar on the Topic ” Panchayat Raj” on 04.11.2022. The welcome address was given by V.Durga( lll B.A.History). The Presidential Address was given by Dr.J.Poongodi, Principal-in-charge, Kamaraj College. The inaugural address was given by Dr.V.Deepthi, Head & Assistant Professor of History, M.S.University, Tirunelveli. Lt. Col. M. Sundaram, Ex- Vice President, DSSA Board, felicitated the program.

The vote of thanks was given by Ms.U.Lovely Chakam( l M.A.History) Student. The technical session started with the speech of Lt.Col. M. Sundaram, Ex- Vice President of the DSSA Board, on the topic – “Panchayat Administration in India.” The second session was occupied by the exciting speech of  Dr. A. Deepa, Associate Professor of History, Rani Anna Government Arts College for Women, Tirunelveli, on the topic ” Local Government in ancient period “. The feast of knowledge was uninterrupted and exalted with more than 250 students, Research scholars and faculties from various neighboring districts participated and enjoyed the seminar.  The seminar came to an end with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr.K.Ragujegadeeshwari, organizing secretary, Assistant Professor of History P.G & Research Department of History, Kamaraj College, Thoothukudi. The program was coordinated and well organized by the students with the guidance of the staff members of the Department.
