Post Graduate and Research Department of Microbiology organized Seminar on Indian Knowledge System (IKS): entitled the topic “The role of Medicinal Plants in Indian traditional Medicine” on 29.01.2025. Dr. T. Ponrathy, Head, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, Kamaraj College, Thoothukudi. served as a resource person. Dr. S. Abirami, HOD was a Convener of this program and Dr. M. Sangeetha, organizing secretary of this program, she honoured the resource person with shield.The resource person highlighted the traditional medicine importance to current Indian society for fighting various diseases and how we are applying plants based products and simply prepared decoction in a day today life. Thus the program was soo inspiring to the students.The PG and UG students, actively participated.
