Intracollegiate Competition on World Ozone Day – Physics Dept.

Every year, September 16th is celebrated as World Ozone Day to raise awareness about the depletion of the ozone layer. As a part of this, the Department of Physics organised an intra-collegiate competition on September 25th, 2023. Various events were organised on the theme “No Ozone, No Life”. Students from various departments of our college participated in these events. The best of three in each event is selected. The valedictory function began with Thamilthai Vaalthu. A welcome speech was delivered by Ms. Vinothini of I M.Sc. Physics, and a brief report of that event was delivered by the event coordinator, Ms. R. Sarathi, an Assistant professor in physics. The winners of each event are honoured with a certificate and a medal. Our college principal Dr. J. Poongodi, honoured the winners with a medal and certificate. Ms. Wisely III, B.Sc. Physics, delivered the vote of thanks. The students’ organising committee, Ms. S. Thalasimani, Ms. Annammal Subisha, Mr. S. Selva Karthik, I M.Sc., Ms. W. Wisely, III B.Sc., Ms. S. Anitha, I B.Sc., and faculty members of the physics department have made all the arrangements for this event. The programme successfully ended with the National Anthem.
