The Beach Cleaning Drive 2025 organised by the NSS Unit No. 55 and UBA Cell of Kamaraj College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi, in collaboration with the Lions Club of SPIC Nagar, turned out to be a remarkable environmental initiative that united hundreds of volunteers for a noble cause.
Held on October 12, 2025 (Sunday) at the scenic VOC Port Beach, the event began at 7:30 AM with great enthusiasm. More than 500 volunteers from different schools and colleges actively took part in cleaning the beach and restoring its beauty.
Grand Inauguration and Keynote Address
The Beach Cleaning Drive 2025 was inaugurated by Shri. Susanta Kumar Purohit, IRSEE, Chairperson, VOC Port Authority. In his keynote address, he appreciated the young volunteers and institutions for contributing towards environmental protection and coastal cleanliness.
