
Awareness Programme on India Post Payments Bank
The Department of Commerce organized a Guest lecture titled Awareness on Indian Post Payments Bank. The session was backed by the intellect of Mr. V. Francis Xavier, Head of Indian Post Payments Bank, Tuticorin district, Department of Post, Government of India. The awareness program was dated 29th September 2022. The program started with Thamizh Thaai Vazhthu followed by a Gratification Address by Mrs. Machado Sneha John, Assistant Professor of the Department of Commerce. Dr. A. Arunachala Rajan, Vice Principal, felicitated the gathering with his warm words followed by the chief guest welcoming, and felicitation was delivered by Dr. V. Gopalakrishnan, Head of the department and the chief guest was honored with a token of appreciation.
The session was then carried out by the Resource Person Mr. V. Francis Xavier, Head of Indian Post Payments Bank, Tuticorin district, Department of Post, Government of India, who elaborated on various schemes of banking in India Post Payments Bank. He also encouraged the students to have an IPPB account and gain a lot of benefits. Ms. Sakthi Banu of III B. Com B proposed the Vote of Thanks. The Session came to an end with National Anthem. More than 160 students participated and benefited. The beneficiaries were UG final and PG final-year students.
