Awareness on Communicate Disease – YRC, NSS Unit: 216 & English Dept
On 11th July 2025, the Department of English organized an Awareness Program on Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases, aimed at educating students on crucial health-related issues. The session was graced by Dr. J Jai Pradap Singh, MBBS, from CSI Diocese Hospital, Thoothukudi, who served as the Guest Speaker for the event.
Dr. Singh delivered an insightful and engaging talk that offered valuable takeaways from the medical field. The session focused on the importance of early detection, practical prevention strategies, and the role of patient education in managing and controlling diseases. He also highlighted the growing global burden of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, while reinforcing the need for community-based awareness and lifestyle changes.
