Report on Drug-Free Tamil Nadu Oath Taking Programme
Drug-Free Youth was the central message of the Oath Taking Programme organized by the Department of Commerce (SF), in collaboration with the Youth Red Cross (YRC), Kamaraj College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi, on 11 August 2026 (Tuesday) at the GJ Block. A total of 47 students benefited from the programme.
The programme followed the theme “Youth for a Drug-Free Society”. It aimed to educate students about the harmful consequences of drug abuse and motivate them to lead healthy and responsible lives. Moreover, the initiative encouraged young people to actively support the creation of a safe and drug-free society.
Objectives of the Programme
The programme focused on developing awareness and responsibility among students. In addition, it highlighted the important role that young people can play in preventing substance abuse.
