Introduction
The Cancer Awareness Programme on the theme “Myths and Facts about Cancer” was successfully organized by NSS Unit 218 of Kamaraj College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi on 02 July 2026 at the Golden Jubilee Block. The programme was conducted with the objective of creating awareness among students about cancer prevention, early detection, healthy lifestyle practices and the need to remove common misconceptions related to cancer.
The programme helped students understand that awareness, timely diagnosis and scientifically accurate knowledge play an important role in cancer prevention and treatment. It also encouraged students to share correct health information with their families and communities.
Objectives of the Programme
The Cancer Awareness Programme was organized to educate students on cancer-related facts and to promote health awareness among young people.
The major objectives of the programme were:

Presidential Address by the Principal

The Felicitation Address was delivered by Dr. A. Arunachala Rajan, Vice Principal, Kamaraj College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi.
