Yoga helps students manage these challenges by improving flexibility, breathing capacity, focus, self-control and inner calmness.
During the IKS Seminar, the resource person explained that yoga is a valuable practice that supports both physical and mental health. It helps students improve posture, reduce stress, maintain discipline and develop a positive attitude.
The session encouraged students to practise yoga regularly as part of their daily routine. It also helped them understand that yoga is not just an exercise but a complete approach to healthy and balanced living.
Breathing Exercises and Mindfulness Practices
A key part of the seminar focused on breathing exercises and mindfulness practices. The resource person explained how proper breathing can calm the mind, improve energy levels and reduce stress.
Students were guided to understand the value of mindful breathing in maintaining emotional balance. Breathing exercises help improve concentration, reduce anxiety and support mental clarity. These practices are especially useful for students during examinations, presentations, interviews and daily academic activities.
The session also emphasized mindfulness as a simple but powerful method to remain aware, focused and peaceful. The students learned that mindfulness can help them manage distractions and improve their ability to concentrate on studies and personal goals.
Healthy Mind and Healthy Body
The IKS Seminar strongly emphasized the connection between a healthy mind and a healthy body. The resource person explained that students must take care of both physical fitness and mental well-being to lead a successful and meaningful life.
A healthy body supports energy, strength and active participation in daily activities. A healthy mind supports confidence, clarity, patience and emotional stability. When both are balanced, students can perform better in academics, build positive relationships and handle challenges with maturity.
The session encouraged students to maintain regular physical activity, proper food habits, good sleep, positive thinking and stress management practices.
