Introduction

The Live Project Internship Valedictory Function was successfully organized on 18 June 2026 by the Incubation Center of the Department of Computer Science (ICONICS), IQAC, and Industry Cell of Kamaraj College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi. The programme was conducted at the Seminar Hall, AMMS Ganasan Nadar Block, from 10.30 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. to mark the successful completion of the internship programme and to recognize the achievements of students who actively participated in industry-oriented learning.

The Live Project Internship highlighted the importance of practical exposure in higher education and created a meaningful platform to appreciate the sincere efforts of students, faculty members, organizers, resource persons, and industry partners. It also reflected the institution’s commitment to preparing students for the professional world through real-time project experience, technical guidance, and career-focused learning opportunities.

Objectives of the Live Project Internship Programme

The Live Project Internship programme was organized with the objective of helping students understand the practical application of classroom learning in real industry situations. It aimed to improve students’ technical knowledge, professional confidence, and employability through direct exposure to industry expectations.

The major objectives of the Live Project Internship were:

Welcome Address

The Live Project Internship Valedictory Function commenced with the Welcome Address delivered by Ms. V. Selva Lakshmi, III B.Sc. Computer Science. She warmly welcomed the dignitaries, faculty members, resource persons, industry experts, and students who had gathered for the occasion.

In her address, she highlighted the importance of internship programmes in helping students gain practical knowledge and professional exposure. She also expressed gratitude to the management, Principal, faculty members, organizers, and industry partners for creating a valuable opportunity that enabled students to learn beyond the classroom.

The welcome address created a positive beginning to the Live Project Internship and reflected the enthusiasm of the students who had successfully completed the internship.

Valedictory Address by the Principal

A major highlight of the Live Project Internship Valedictory Function was the Valedictory Address delivered by Dr. K. Bhanumathi, Principal.

The Principal congratulated the students on the successful completion of the internship programme and appreciated their dedication, commitment, and active participation. She emphasized that internships play a vital role in helping students understand workplace expectations, professional responsibilities, and the value of skill-based learning.

She encouraged the students to effectively utilize the industry exposure gained through the internship experience for their future careers. The gathering was further addressed by Mr. T. Ravi, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science, who delivered the Felicitation Address.

He appreciated the sincere efforts of the students, organizers, management, faculty members, and industry partners in making the Live Project Internship programme successful. He highlighted that practical training helps students connect academic concepts with real-world applications and improves their readiness for employment.

He also emphasized that project-based learning develops important professional qualities such as teamwork, communication, responsibility, discipline, time management, and problem-solving ability. As part of the valedictory function, the resource persons were honoured in recognition of their valuable contribution to the internship programme.

Dr. P. Ravindran, Managing Director of Renechip and COO of DigiSailor, and Mrs. Angeline Reuben from DigiSailor were honoured by Dr. K. Bhanumathi, Principal, and Mr. T. Ravi, Head, Department of Computer Science.

The institution expressed sincere appreciation for their mentorship, guidance, professional support, and contribution to the Live Project Internship initiative. Their involvement helped students gain better exposure to industry practices and current professional standards.
