The Womens Day Celebration at Kamaraj College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi was organized with great enthusiasm on 06 March 2026 and 07 March 2026 at the college campus. The two-day celebration brought together students, faculty members, and staff to recognize the achievements, strength, and creativity of women.
International Womens Day is celebrated across the world to honour the contributions of women in society and to promote equality, empowerment, and opportunity. The Womens Day Celebration at the college reflected these values through a variety of competitions, cultural programmes, and a grand valedictory ceremony.

Objectives of the Womens Day Celebration

Participants presented innovative dishes prepared without using fire. The dishes impressed the judges with their creativity, presentation, and taste.

Valedictory Ceremony and Prize Distribution
The grand Valedictory Ceremony took place on 07 March 2026 at the Open Auditorium of the Swami Vivekananda Block. The programme began with Tamil Thai Vazhthu.
The gathering was welcomed by Dr. S. Kanagaprabha, followed by the presidential address delivered by the Principal Dr. K. Bhanumathi.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Sangeetha Thanaraj, Endoscopist and Gastroenterologist from Thanaraj Speciality Hospitals, delivered an inspiring speech highlighting three important aspects of life:
