
Crime Against Women And Children In India Contemporary Issues And Challenges
Organized by Department of criminology and police administration in collaboration with National Service Scheme unit: 219, 30-31 August, 2019. on Crime awareness and prevention “Crime against Women and Children in India Contemporary Issues and Challenges”, was programmed with two different sections with two different panel sections. The first day of program, welcome speech of the first session initiated was delivered by Mr.S.Sivasanthosh the backdrop of the workshop. This session was presided by eminent speaker Dr. R. Sivakumar assistant professor of DOCCJ, M.S University delivered on the theme “cyber victimization of women & children in India”. The chairperson of the session was Mrs. Mary Josephine Jerina, assistant professor, NSS unit 217 officer, Kamaraj college. during the afternoon session on the theme case study review of crime against children in India “ with eminent speaker Mr. John Moses Giritharan, district child protection unit, Thoothukudi, the chairperson of this session was Dr. S. Abirami, Asst. Prof. & Head of Microbiology, Kamaraj College in panel session. The second day of the workshop was resumed with the theme “crime against women & children in India: contemporary issues & challenges” where the resource person Mr. S. Ruba Kishore, advocate, member of JJB, delivered the lecture chairperson Dr. Tony Melwyn, Director, Kamaraj College. Shared few words about the workshop .The second day panel 2 was presided by Mr. John Moses Giritharan, district child protection unit, Thoothukudi with discussion. The chair person was Mr. S. Sivasanthosh, Assistant Professor the closing ceremony of the program winded up with certificate distribution for the participants.
