ADMISSION PROCEDURE

ELIGIBILITY

FOR UNDER GRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMS

  • Candidate seeking admission to B.A. Tamil degree should have passed Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination with Tamil as one of the subjects.
  • Candidate seeking admission to B.A. English degree should have passed Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination with English as one of the subjects.
  • Candidate seeking admission to B.A. History degree should have passed Higher Secondary Examination in any group conducted by the Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination.
  • Candidate seeking admission to B.A Economics degree should have passed Higher Secondary Examination in any group conducted by the Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination.
  • Candidate seeking admission to B.A Criminology & Police Administration / B.A. Police Administration & Forensic Science degree should have passed Higher Secondary Examination in any group conducted by the Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination.
  • Candidate seeking admission to the B.B.A/B.B.A Shipping and Logistics Management degree should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of the Government of Tamil Nadu or Equivalent. Preference will be given to those who have taken Mathematics as a subject in the qualifying examinations.
  • Candidate seeking admission to B.Sc. Chemistry degree should have passed Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination with Chemistry as one of the subject.
  • Candidate seeking admission to B.Sc. Computer Science/B.C.A/Visual Communication degree should have passed Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination with Mathematics / Computer Science as one of the subject.
  • Candidate seeking admission to B.Sc. Mathematics degree should have passed Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
  • Candidate seeking admission to B.Sc. Botany degree should have passed Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination with Botany / Biology as one of the subjects.
  • Candidate seeking admission to B.Sc. Microbiology degree should have passed Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination with Biology / Microbiology as one of the subjects.
  • Candidate seeking admission to B.Sc. Physics degree should have passed Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination with Physics & Mathematics as one of the subjects.
  • Candidate seeking admission to B.Sc. Zoology degree should have passed Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination with Zoology / Biology as one of the subjects.
  • Candidate seeking admission to B.Com/ B.Com (Corporate Secretary ship)/ B.Com Banking & E-Commerce degree should have passed Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination with Commerce and Accountancy as one of the subjects.

FOR POST GRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMS

  • Candidate seeking admission to M.Sc. Mathematics degree should have obtained B.Sc. Degree in Mathematics from a University / Deemed to be University recognized by University Grants Commission.
  • Candidate seeking admission to M.Sc. Physics degree should have obtained B.Sc. Degree in Physics from a University / Deemed to be University recognized by University Grants Commission
  • Candidate seeking admission to M.Sc. Chemistry degree should have obtained B.Sc. Degree in Chemistry from a University / Deemed to be University recognized by University Grants Commission.
  • Candidate seeking admission to M.Sc. Zoology degree should have obtained B.Sc. Degree in Zoology from a University / Deemed to be University recognized by University Grants Commission.
  • Candidate seeking admission to M.Sc. Microbiology degree should have obtained B.Sc. Degree in Microbiology / Botany / Zoology from a University/Deemed to be University recognized by University Grants Commission.
  • Candidate seeking admission to M.C.A/M.Sc. Computer Science/M.Sc. Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence & Data Science) degree should have obtained B.C.A. / B. Sc. Computer Science / B.Sc. Information Technology Degree from a University/Deemed to be University recognized by University Grants Commission with Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or at graduation.
  • Candidate seeking admission to M.Com. degree should have obtained B.Com. Degree in any stream from a University/Deemed to be University recognized by University Grants Commission.
  • Candidate seeking admission to M.A. English degree should have obtained B.A. English Degree from a University / Deemed to be University recognized by University Grants Commission.
  • Candidate seeking admission to M.A. History degree should have obtained B.A. History Degree from a University / Deemed to be University recognized by University Grants Commission.
  • Candidate seeking admission to M.A. Economics degree should have obtained B.A. Economics Degree from a University / Deemed to be University recognized by University Grants Commission.

APPLYING PROCEDURE

Applicants who wish to obtain admission should apply in the prescribed form, against payment of Rs. 50/- for U.G. and Rs. 60/- for PG. Courses. For SC/ST candidates application form will be issued free of cost on the production of the photocopy of community certificate. Application forms are available in College Admin office.

The last date for receipt of filled-in applications for the U.G. Courses is fixed as the tenth working day from the date of publication of the Higher Secondary School examination results and for the P.G. Courses within 15 days from the date of publication of university results.

ADMISSION PROCESS

After receiving all applications for admission, the college admission committee shall scrutinize the applications and counselling will be conducted after 15th day of the publications of plus two results in the internet. The provisionally selected candidate shall pay all the required fees within 2 days without which his/her selection shall be cancelled and the opportunity will be provided to the next candidate.
