Three days workshop on dissemination of innovative technology sponsored by Tamilnadu state council for Science and Technology, Tamil Nadu (TNSCST) on “Production of value added and high quality products from fish and fishery resources” was organized by the Department of Zoology, Kamaraj College, Thoothukudi on 20, 21and 22 February 2019. Approximately, 50 self-help group members and students from Zoology department participated in this workshop. Dr. R. Saravanan, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Zoology, KGS Arts College, Srivaikundam was the chief guest and he inaugurated the workshop. Dr.D. Nagarajan , Principal, Kamaraj college has felicitated the gathering. Dr.K. Bhanumathi, Convener has delivered a detailed note of the workshop. Dr.J.Nagarajan delivered the welcome address and Dr.R.Nagarajan delivered the vote of thanks. The first day had a lecture session on fish oil extraction followed by a practical session. The second day had a lecture on preparation of gelatin from fish skin followed by practical demonstration. The third day had a lecture and practical demonstration of preparation of fish meal.
